Program Overview
The mission of the Media Arts and Studies program is to promote the study of the means of production and dissemination of digital content, and their ultimate effects on individuals, political communication, civic participation, media organizations, media policy and practices, and society as a whole. Courses and internships prepare students for careers in the industry with interest in audio/visual production, media studies, web design, video, graphics and other web-based systems.

Application Requirements
Completed applications include an official high school transcript, application fee ($50 domestic/$60 international) and optional official ACT/SAT score (the University of Kentucky is test-optional for admission and scholarships through the 2028-29 academic year).
