Education Specialist in Education - School Psychology

Who is this program for?

The School Psychology Educational Specialist graduate program is perfect for individuals passionate about supporting student mental health, academic success, and well-being, with a focus on assessment, intervention, and advocacy. Graduates pursue careers as school psychologists, working in a variety of diverse, educationally-related settings, including P-12 schools, universities, and educational cooperatives.

Program Overview

The Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) in School Psychology is a three-year program with two years of coursework on campus and a yearlong internship. In the Ed.S. program, students typically earn a Master of Science (M.S.) degree after the first year of coursework.

Graduates of the Ed.S. program are eligible for certification as a school psychologist in the state of Kentucky and should meet certification standards in most other states. Program completion also partially fulfills requirements for certification as a Psychological Associate by the Kentucky Board of Psychology. Applicants who have earned a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree are considered for the program.

Our Accreditation

Our School Psychology program is accredited by the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation. It is also fully approved by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP). This approval streamlines eligibility for the Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential, supports licensure portability across most states, and boosts credibility with school districts and employer

Things to do on this form:
Take away "Term" for Transfers - "Unknown Term"? As well as "Not in High School"
And the same for "Online"

Possibly remove the "Readmit" option.
Feel like it would be pretty easy to see if the person already exists in our system and has a program enrollment record associated with them, which would shift them from "Freshman" or "Transfer" to "Readmit"
