Bachelor's Degree in Neuroscience
Who is this program for?
The bachelor's degree program in Neuroscience is perfect for students fascinated by the workings of the brain, nervous system, and cognitive processes. Graduates develop expertise in neurobiology, behavioral science, and research methods, preparing them for careers as a research scientist, or in healthcare fields including physician, occupational therapist, neuropsychologist, and pharmacist.
Program Overview
Neuroscience is the interdisciplinary study of the brain and nervous system, exploring how sensory input drives behavior, cognition, and decision-making. As advances in technology allow researchers to investigate the nervous system at increasingly detailed levels—from individual cells to complex networks—neuroscience continues to grow rapidly both nationally and globally. This field is central to addressing some of today’s most pressing challenges, including neurodegenerative diseases, mental health, traumatic brain injury, and substance abuse. Career opportunities are expanding in areas such as medicine, mental health, research, biotechnology, and even artificial intelligence, where understanding how the brain works helps shape the future of innovation. With major federal initiatives like the BRAIN Initiative investing billions into neuroscience research, now is an exciting time to enter a field at the cutting edge of science, health, and technology.
