Bachelor's Degree in History
Who is this program for?
The bachelor's degree program in History is perfect for students intrigued by the events, cultures, and movements that have shaped our world. Graduates develop strong research, writing, and analytical skills, preparing them for careers as historians, archivists, educators, or policy analysts in fields such as education, museums, government, and public history.
Program Overview
History majors read a lot and discuss and debate ideas with other smart students and a diverse and award-winning faculty. Unlike many degree programs that are highly structured, history is quite flexible. Many history students double major or minor in other fields.
Technology and big data drive our modern world, and people trained in history provide the context, cultural fluency, and ethical awareness to make meaning of it. Because they can make these connections, history graduates find good paying and rewarding jobs in expected fields like law, education, and public history, but also in unexpected places like marketing, investment banking, health care administration, and data analytics.
