Conducting Research in UK Health Care Joint Commission Covered Areas

Flow of Nursing Research in UK Healthcare

New faculty should register for New Employee Orientation. The Joint Commission requirements for safety and other WBTs will be met through participation in this orientation. To sign up, go to:

For existing faculty, access The Joint Commission requirements for safety and other WBTs:

Go to My UK, select the training tab. In section on the left, scroll to bottom and select UKCH Safety WBT’s from the course catalog.

For student: access The Joint Commission requirements for safety and other WBTs:

Complete form for external learners and send to Alison Preston at amorr2@email.uky.edu

She will provide access generally within two days. Then students can go to MY UK, select the training tab and UKCH Safety WBT’s from the course catalog.

For annual renewal of WBTs:

The Associate Dean for Research and Scholarship will send out an email reminder to faculty and students enrolled as external learners to complete WBT’s by above process. Annual WBT’s need to be completed between November 1 and May 15th each year.

To register for SCM classes:

SCM View Only classes are offered every week. Faculty can register thru MY UK using the training tab. Students who do not have access to My UK should call the Learning Center at 257-9226 to enroll in a class.
