UK graduate nursing students are a select group of academically motivated individuals. They create a diverse community, representing a wide range of ethnic, racial, political and religious backgrounds. Approximately 85 percent come from various counties in Kentucky; others are from states such as Tennessee, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana and Missouri. International students are from Jordan, Korea, China and Taiwan.

About 60 percent of students attend part time, allowing more flexibility with work schedules.
