The Polk-Dalton Family Care Center practice was acquired by UK HealthCare in 2009 as a satellite of the Polk-Dalton Clinic. The clinic is well known for its outstanding care provided by many UK College of Nursing faculty and professional staff pediatric and family nurse practitioners dating back to 1991. The center also serves as an excellent clinical education site for UK pediatric and family nurse practitioner students. It was originally established to provide a comprehensive approach to meeting the needs of teen mothers for education, career preparation, parenting support, child care and health care.
