Kentucky Children's Hospital provides advanced specialty care for children. KCH provides specialized emergency transport and the Neonatal ICU provides Level III Care. The role of the nurse researcher at the children’s hospital is to advance evidence- and research- based nursing practice that improves the health care outcomes for the children of Kentucky. Advancing nursing practice is done by conducting nursing research in collaboration with other nurses and disciplinary team members at KCH and disseminating the findings, and the development and promotion of evidenced-based practice.
