The acute care nurse practitioner (ACNP) is educated and prepared to provide care to acutely and critically ill adult patients regardless of setting. While many ACNPs work in a hospital setting, they are also based in urgent treatment centers and specialty clinics.
With the expanding hospital role of advanced practice nursing, ACNPs are also uniquely positioned to provide collaborative hospital care for patients of primary care providers. Each of our ACNP faculty members has practice roles.
