Nursing Skills Lab Intern Option
The goal is to assist interested junior and senior undergraduate students in learning how to teach beginning nursing students how to perform clinical nursing and med math skills.
Objectives
- Develop an understanding of teaching and learning principles.
- Assess learning needs related to nursing and med math skills.
- Work with undergraduate students in learning and practicing nursing skills.
- Work with undergraduate students in learning and practicing med‐math skills.
- Assist in setting up nursing skills laboratory experiences.
- Assist in reviewing student competencies via video‐validation.
- Assist in the development and implementation of nursing laboratory simulation experiences.
- Attend course and lab meetings as time permits.

Eligibility Criteria
- Junior- or senior-level nursing major
- A minimum 3.0 nursing and cumulative GPA is recommended
- Letter of recommendation from the student’s current clinical instructor or course coordinator
