Nora  Warshawsky, PhD, RN, CNE

Assistant Professor, DNP Track Coordinator Population and Organizational Systems Leadership

Nora Warshawsky received her BSN from the University of Pittsburgh, a Master of Public Administration from Troy University, an MSN from the University of Hawaii, and a PhD in nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Prior to joining the UK faculty, Dr. Warshawsky taught in the undergraduate and graduate programs at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Duke University schools of nursing. She has more than 25 years of experience in health care organizations, primarily in nursing leadership and quality management roles.

Here at UK, Dr. Warshawsky teaches health care systems courses in the DNP Program. Additionally, she holds a joint appointment with UK HealthCare. In her practice role she collaborates with the clinical nursing leaders to strengthen the quality of the nurse work environment. Her research interest is the role of the nurse manager in creating positive nurse work environments that support quality patient outcomes.
